Explore the entire region – from Briksdalsbreen, Oppstryn, to Stryn and Loen Skylift

Loen Explorer is our most comprehensive helicopter tour – a 45-minute nature experience where you get to experience the very best of Western Norway. Fly over spectacular glaciers, deep valleys and idyllic fjord landscapes – all from a bird's eye view.

Briksdalsbreen, Kjenndalen and Lodalskåpa

We take off from Tyvaneset and fly south through Oldedalen, with Jostedalsbreen on both sides and Oldenvatnet below us. We visit Briksdalsbreen and continue to Kjenndalsbreen, with views of the dramatic landslide areas from 1905 and 1936. We then round the mighty Lodalskåpa (2083 m).

Across Erdalen to Oppstryn and Stryn

The trip continues north with views of Erdalsbreen glacier and through scenic Erdalen. We pass idyllic Hjelle and the historic Hjelle Hotel, before flying over Oppstrynsvatnet and the winding Stryne River towards Stryn city center.

Skålatårnet, Lovatnet and ending over Loen

We pass the Skylift gondola and the Skålatårnet before gliding down towards the turquoise Lovatnet Lake and returning via the center of Loen to landing at Tyvaneset.

A complete journey through Norway's most beautiful landscape

This tour gives you a complete overview of the region's greatest natural experiences - from glaciers and mountain peaks to fjords and village life. Large parts of the tour take place in Jostedalsbreen National Park, with a minimum altitude of 1,000 feet.

This tour is available as a private flight only. The price is fixed and covers the entire helicopter – you may bring up to 7 passengers (maximum 110 kg per person / 540 kg per group).
