Want to experience everything the region has to offer? Then the Loen Experience is the ultimate helicopter tour for you. A 60-minute expedition over sparkling fjords, majestic mountains and iconic landmarks such as Briksdalsbreen, Dalsnibba and Trollveggen.
From Lovatnet to Geiranger and the Sunnmøre Alps
The tour starts from Tyvaneset and goes over beautiful Lovatnet and Skålatårnet, on towards Oppstrynsvatnet and idyllic Hjelle. From there we ascend into the mountains via the Strynefjell Tunnels and continue north to the Dalsnibba viewpoint over the Geirangerfjord.
We glide down towards the fjord, passing waterfalls, mountain farms and the dramatic landscape that has made Geiranger world-famous. We then follow the fjord north towards the Sunnmøre Alps and Åndalsnes.
Trollveggen, Tafjord and Jostedalsbreen
At the entrance to Romsdalen we sweep past the iconic Trollveggen – Europe’s highest vertical rock face. We continue south towards Tafjord and fly back towards Jostedalsbreen with spectacular views of Stryn Sommerski and Lodalskåpa (2083 m) – the region’s highest peak.
The tour ends with highlights such as Kjenndalsbreen and Briksdalsbreen, before we glide gently down Oldedalen and Oldevatnet with views of Klovane and Sisiliekruna. We land back at Tyvaneset – rich in memories and magical impressions.
Large parts of the route pass through Jostedalsbreen National Park. Minimum altitude: 1000 feet.
This tour is available as a private flight only. The price is fixed and covers the entire helicopter – you may bring up to 7 passengers (maximum 110 kg per person / 540 kg per group).

- Please arrive 15min early to your location.
- You will most likely enter the helicopter as the rotor blade is spinning. Please hold on to all loose belongings.
