Glaicer Experience is the complete tour for the entire area if you want to see everything from mountains, fjord landscapes and glaciers. From Olden to Geiranger and the Sunnmore Alps to Andalsnes. The tour lasts 90.
Experience the very best that Western Norway has to offer – with a helicopter tour from beautiful Nordfjordeid! From the first second you get panoramic views of fjords, waterfalls, glaciers and iconic mountain peaks. This is a journey you will never forget.
We take off from Løkjaneset and head east into Gloppefjorden, where we ascend towards the mighty Jostedalsbreen – Europe’s largest mainland glacier. Here you really get a sense of the enormous power of nature, with glaciers up to 600 meters thick and over 800 km² of ice-covered mountain areas.
The trip continues south through beautiful Oldedalen, where Briksdalsbreenawaits – one of Norway’s most famous and photographed glaciers. Weather permitting, we cross the glacier and get views of the legendary Lodalskåpa and the dramatic peaks of Hurrungane – the mountain area considered the crown jewel of Norwegian alpine climbing.
We continue towards Kjenndalsbreen glacier and pass the spectacular Skålatårnet, before turning north towards Dalsnibba, the viewpoint high above the Geirangerfjord. We then glide down through the valley and get up close to the world-famousSeven Sisters waterfalls and remote mountain farms – places where you would hardly believe anyone has ever lived.
We fly further out the fjord towards Øye and the iconic Slogen, which rises 1564 meters straight up from the fjord – a sight you will never forget.
On our way back towards Nordfjordeid, we pass Hornindalsvatnet, Europe's deepest lake at 514 meters, before landing safely at Løkjaneset - with our hearts full of impressions and our cameras full of memories.
This tour is available as a private flight only. The price is fixed and covers the entire helicopter – you may bring up to 7 passengers (maximum 110 kg per person / 540 kg per group).
